Increase ventilation & light:
Awning windows are a perfect choice for increasing ventilation and light into your home. On their own, or in combination, awning windows can be installed above or below other windows, or above doors. They are hinged at the top and open outwards at the bottom with a durable, attractive nested handle.

As with casement style windows, awning windows perform extremely well, because the sash closes against the frame and can be securely locked. The thick, welded frame, sash and cam locks have been independently designed, tested and shown to resist forced entry.

Energy-saving efficiency:
North Star windows and doors offer several unique glass coatings which help to keep your home warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer. These special coatings reflect heat back to its source. During warm summer days, outside heat is reflected away from your home. During the winter months, inside warmth is reflected back into the home. This two-way heat barrier maximizes the amount of light entering your home and enhances energy efficiency, saving you money year after year. Our vinyl windows are on average more than twice as efficient as the average window made ten years ago.
